Meta Pixel & Advertising

Important Disclosure — Meta (Facebook & Instagram) Advertising Our Site uses the Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel), a piece of code provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. This section explains what data is collected and how it is used for advertising purposes.

What is the Meta Pixel?
The Meta Pixel is a small piece of JavaScript code placed on our website that allows us to measure the effectiveness of our advertising by understanding the actions visitors take on our Site. It enables us to track conversions, optimize ads, build targeted audiences, and remarket to people who have previously visited our Site.

What Data the Meta Pixel Collects:

  • Pages visited on our Site (including product pages, checkout, and confirmation pages).
  • Actions taken — such as viewing content, adding items to a cart, initiating checkout, making a purchase, or completing a registration.
  • Your IP address, browser type, and device information.
  • Hashed versions of personal data you provide (such as email address or phone number) for matching your profile on Meta's platforms. This data is hashed (encrypted) before being sent to Meta.
  • Cookies set by Meta on your browser.
  • Referring URL and the URL of the page you are visiting.

How We Use This Data:

  • Conversion Tracking: Measuring when someone who saw our Facebook or Instagram ad subsequently took an action on our Site (e.g., made a purchase).
  • Retargeting / Remarketing: Showing ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who have previously visited our Site or taken specific actions.
  • Custom Audiences: Creating audiences of our customers or site visitors to show them relevant ads on Meta platforms.
  • Lookalike Audiences: Finding new potential customers on Meta platforms who share characteristics with our existing customers.
  • Ad Optimization: Improving the performance and targeting of our paid advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram.

Data Sharing with Meta:
When you visit our Site, certain data — including your browsing behavior and, where applicable, hashed personal identifiers — is automatically shared with Meta Platforms, Inc. This data sharing occurs through both the Meta Pixel (browser-side) and, where implemented, Meta's Conversions API (server-side). Meta may combine this information with data it has collected from you through your use of Facebook, Instagram, and other Meta products.

Meta's Use of Your Data:
Meta uses pixel data in accordance with Meta's Privacy Policy. Meta may use this information to improve its ad systems and products.

How to Opt Out of Meta Advertising:

Meta Pixel User Data Policy Compliance We use the Meta Pixel in compliance with Meta's Business Tools Terms and Applicable Data Use Policy. We do not send sensitive personal information (such as health data, financial data, or government IDs) to Meta through the Pixel. We obtain appropriate consent where required by applicable law.
